Someone Else's Honeymoon by Phoebe MacLeod

My 5 star review of Phoebe Macleod's Someone Else's Honeymoon.

Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for proving me with an ARC in return for an honest review.
This 5 star book came at the right time for me. I was needing something light to laugh out loud with and just sit back relax and enjoy. It is a perfect beach read and might have you making new friends. So many tender moments and so many laugh out loud situations made this a very easy read for me and tough to put down. This was not the story I expected but I was not disappointed at all and the fact that it was set mostly in sunshine and beautiful scenery was a total plus to me.
I really liked this whimsical story and would recommend fans of rom-com and chick-lit to add it to their lists. If the genre is not usually your thing but near a good beach read, this is it.

How to Change a Life by Stacey Ballis

My 4.5 star review of How to Change a Life by Stacey Ballis.

I truly enjoyed this 4.5 star read by Stacey Ballis. I liked the characters and I liked how it treated the subject of interracial dating sensitively and in a beautifully written style. I had to laugh out loud at the Jewish mother and aunt moments. Oh boy, could I relate. It was an honestly constructed book with regards to family relationships, friendships, LGBTQ relationships and touched on so many more issues. I liked who it dealt with the issues that single and married women in their 40's face and how they face them. I would definitely recommend this book to lovers of rom-com, chick lit and women's fiction but I know it will not appeal to everybody and some might disagree with my opinions. I am writing honestly from my point of view and I know that I will read another Stacey Ballis book and really wouldn't mind meeting these characters again in a sequel.

An Endless Cornish Summer by Phillipa Ashley

My five star review of An Endless Cornish Summer by Phillipa Ashley.

I have to thank NetGalley and the publisher for my ARC of this 5 star book in return for an honest review.
I loved everything about this book from beginning to end. It reminded me of my younger years in England, and all the vacations I spent in Cornwall and Devon. With wonderfully likeable characters, scenery that is beautiful, laugh out loud moments and cry out loud moments, this book has it all. It was my first Phillipa Ashley and I am definitely adding her to my authors to look for list. With its quirky moments and teaching moments I believe this book is one to go on to read book lists.
If you have previously read a Phillipa Ashley book you know exactly what I mean. If like me, you are new to this author, give this book a try, I can't see you being disappointed.

Farm Fresh Murder by Paige Shelton - 1st book in Farmer's Market Mystery series

My four star review of A Farm Fresh Murder by Paige Shelton.

This 4 star read was my first in this new to me series. I read it because I needed to fulfill a prompt in a challenge but wasn't expecting to love it as much as I did. The characters were super quirky but they were fun and I found myself getting hooked into their lives. As with all cozy mysteries our main female character was nosy and would not give up and it made for fun reading as she worked to solve the murder and we got a view or two into her personal life. It was a clever plot and I know I will read others in the series. If you like cozy mysteries and are a fan of Texas then this is one for you. If you are new to cozy mysteries, give it a try, you might find yourself surprised.

Jennifer Spredemann's Unlikely Santa - An Amish Christmas Story

My 5 star review of Jennifer Spredemann's of Unlikely Santa.

What a wonderfully sweet and inspiring Amish book with a difference which deserved each of its 5 stars and more.
These were such warm and generous characters. Each one was a pleasure to read about and get to know. I honestly feel like I made a whole bunch of new friends.
I especially like the different twist on the story with the way it mingled Amish and Englisch together. It was a tender way to learn about family, shunning, life and death and for those of the Christian faith, I am Jewish, to believe in and learn to love God and Jesus who died for all sinners may be free.
Even as a Jewish person this is something I could understand and warm to.
Each of the children were endearing and all found a place in my heart. Even the youngest baby girl got to understand about Christmas and giving in her very own baby way.
I would highly recommend that fans of Amish fiction and Christmas stories make this a must read this holiday season. If you are new to the genre of Amish fiction this would be a beautiful place to start, especially if you like the Christmas season.
My thanks to Jennifer Spredemann for such a truly delightful book and home we read more about these wonderful characters in the future.

Guarding Her Heart by Negeen Papehn

My 4.5 star review of Guarding Her Heart by Negeen Papehn.

I really enjoyed this book which I obtained via NetGalley and only after starting it did I realize it was the second in a series and I usually like to read a series in sequence.
I rated this 4.5 stars and really enjoyed the writing, the story, the characters, the humor, the touching moments and almost everything about this book. Once I really got into the story I didn't want to put the book down and wanted to know how it would end despite not wanting it to end.
If you are a lover of romance and chick lit books then this should definitely appeal to you. If you are not normally into romance, this book is so witty that I would say give it a try.
I look forward to reading more by Negeen Papehn in the future.

Book 3 in the Amish Women of Lawrence County - Anna's Fears by Tracy Fredrychowski

My 4.5 star review of Anna's Amish Fears Revealed: Book 3 The Amish Women of Lawrence County by Tracy Fredrychowski.

This sweet story I rated 4.5 stars and loved every moment of it. I really liked all the characters in the book and how Tracy Fredrychowski spreads the word of the Lord in a gentle and comfortable way. I had not read the prior two books in this series and did not feel that I had missed out on anything to mar my enjoyment of this book. However, since I loved this story and the writing so much I am going to go back and read the others. If you are an Amish fiction fan then this will definitely be a book you will want to read. If you are new to the genre, go ahead and read this. It was comfortable as a stand alone. It was touching and inspirational with many lessons for us all to learn. Thank you Tracy and I look forward to reading more and more of your books in the future.

The Queen and Di : The Untold Story by Ingrid Seward

My 3 star review of The Queen and Di: The Untold Story by Ingrid Seward.

This book did a lot to end the view of Diana that I had and end the myth that she was the wronged party. I feel that this was a well written and truthful account of events. The whole marriage, divorce and ultimate death was a very sad time in English history. I honestly believed and still believe that the truth was somewhere in the middle of Charles and Diana's views leading up to the divorce and this book confirmed that for me. However and whatever the circumstances it is sad that a marriage ended and that eventually a young life was lost. I think people have to read and make up their own minds and not let good or bad reviews of books sway them or their thinking. I am very glad that I read this book and did enjoy the writing.

On The Way To Christmas: Three stories by Sheila Roberts, Melissa Ferguson and Amy Clipston

My 5 star review of On the Way to Christmas - three stories by Sheila Roberts, Melissa Ferguson and Amy Clipston.

I should like to start by thanking Amy Clipston and Zac Weikal for my copy of this book. I loved every second of this 5 star book and didn't want any of the stories to end.
A Christmas Do-Over by Sheila Roberts I so enjoyed your story. I loved Darby and Erika and what a true relationship you depicted there. Of course the romance was wonderful and all in a terrific setting and at my favorite time of year. I definitely have to read more of your books. I remember reading and loving On Strike for Christmas and enjoying it so much.
Dashing through the Snow by Melissa Ferguson your story was the first of your writing that I have read and I promise it won't be the last. What a wonderful journey the story took us on. If such a trip really existed I think I would have to take it. I loved your characters and I laughed until I cried and then I even cried a little with happiness. A perfect Christmas tale.
A Perfectly Splendid Christmas by Amy Clipston ... my dear friend and one of my favorite authors ever. Thank you for taking us back to Splendid Lake and I really hope this won't be our last visit there. As always your characters were so believable and the pictures you painted with your words had me right there in Splendid Lake. If I closed my eyes...I could hear Joy to the World. I have loved everything of yours that I have read and I look forward to reading many more of your books and being part of your wonderful Bookworm Bunch.
To all three of you...this was a truly delightful book with three wonderful stories. I am going to highly recommend this book and hope that many put it on their Christmas lists and their letters to Santa because it is so worth reading and would be very sad to miss.

My 4.5 star review of Cameron: 2nd part of the Duet of Dusty and Cameron. 4th in Night Skulls series

My 4.5 star review of N. J. Adel's latest book, due to be released on October 7, 2022.

DO NOT read this book if you have any triggers whatsoever!

Thanks N. J. Adel for another amazing book. I had to give this 4.5 stars, sorry not quite 5 but...Cameron is not my favorite female main character. I don't won't give anything away but she had more evil and bad in her than I ever expected. Please people, don't read this book to complain about all the different triggers. Please read it because you love N. J.'s books or started with Dusty and want to read the completion of the duo. I really liked some of the other characters especially Owl and the little boy Carter. I found this book to be touching in some parts, funny in others and sometimes a little hard to get my head around what was going on. If you love N. J. Adel books as much as I do and triggers don't upset you, then this book is for you. If you haven't read N. J. Adel before, you definitely need to read Dusty prior to reading this book. Yes, I highly recommend it and cannot wait to see what this wonderful author comes up with for us next.
