Take a Trip to Paradise With Archer Bradley!

My review of:

Left Field (The Bradley Legacy Book 5.)

Author:  Lisa Suzanne

Firstly I wish to thank the author for my ARC of this amazing 5 star book. I know i am going to sound a little like a song that you listen to over and over, but each time I read a book in this series I say it is the best so far. This one is no different. I knew from reading about the Bradley family that Archer's story might be the most emotional one to tackle and I wasn't wrong. Archer, poor Archer. A wonderful male protagonist with such deep feelings buried inside him. He chose baseball and not football which made him stand out from his brothers and maybe not be so much in the clique. Millie the female protagonist has such a wise head on her shoulders but keeps making little mistakes. Fortunately she sees the wrongs and wants to right them. I actually cried during parts of the books as it was so emotional it got to me and reminded me of things in my life. I want to say that I loved the writing, the conversations, the lighter chuckle at moments and the heart wrenching moments. I love Lisa's writing and I read each of her books not wanting to ever get to the end on the one hand but wanting to on the other so I can see how it all concludes. I don't think we are finished with the Bradleys. I should hate to say goodbye without reading more about Liam and the two sisters. I hope y'all who are fans of this family and these books feel similarly to the way I do and for those new to this author but think the cover is cute, which it is, you won't be disappointed and you will want to read more by this amazing author. I am so excited to read whatever Lisa writes next and cannot wait.

Promises are Forever in Rogue River.

My review of:

Promise (Rogue River book #1)

Author:  L. B. Dunbar

Firstly, I must thank the author for my ARC of this book. This 5 star read was captivating from the first to last word and drew my attention in immediately. While I guessed at some of the little twists throughout the story, the book was so well written and I was so into it that it didn't make a little bit of difference that I had caught the twists. I could totally relate to the main couple in that they both had times where they thought that they were not good enough and I think that about myself quite often too. This may have inspired me a little to look at myself differently. The cast of characters surrounding the main couple were all absolutely wonderful in their own ways and each could have a book written about them. Rogue River sounds like another one of those small home towns and maybe I would like to live somewhere like that some day. This book was highly emotional for me and while I know it may not be for everybody I absolutely loved everything about it and hope to see other books written about the side characters, each of whom deserve their own story. I would recommend this book but I know others will differ. I suggest y'all read it for yourselves and then you can make your own mind up. For me, I look forward to seeing what this author has in store for us next.

This book was as tasty as the food and as fast as the games!

My review of:

Through the Perilous Fight (Stars and Stripes and Hockey Nights #2)

Author: Elana Johnson.

Firstly, I must say thank you for my ARC of this book. This was the second book in this special series written for the 250th anniversary of the United States of America. This story was lovely. It had a few chuckle at moments but was basically a beautifully written sports romance totally capturing the feelings of a 250th celebration. I love foodies and I love sports romance. This was the best of both worlds with a chef and a hockey player. I live outside of DC in Maryland and have been to DC many times including once on a 4th of July and stayed for the fireworks. This was great. I visited the fish market, the mall and sat on the grass watching the fireworks and this book recaptured all those memories for me. The main couple were lovely and I am so glad we got a reference or two to the first book of the series. This was my first time reading Elana Johnson but I know it will not be my last. Her narrative is so well written as are her conversations and I definitely recommend this book.

The Main Couple Sizzles In and Out of the Kitchen

My Review of:

The Unwilling Bride (The Hamiltons #1)

Author:  L. Steele

Firstly I should like to thank the author for my ARC of this book. This was a fantastic 5 star read from beginning to end. We had met James and Harper in the pre series novella and that book was so good and resonated with me so much I could hardly wait to receive this one. I was not disappointed. Wow! Wow! Wow! Hot in the kitchen and out of the kitchen. Harper and James' chemistry sizzled off the page. It was that intense through the amazing writing that I almost believed these two were real. Everything about this book was great. The writing outstanding. The conversations beautifully written to make me feel sometimes like I was intruding. The family, the friends, the staff in the restaurant, the suspense, the love - this book really had it all. I love books with extra smart teenagers and we had one that was outstanding and I hope we see in more books in this series. There were many references made to the novella that came before, so my suggestion would be to read that prior to reading this book. This book can be read without having read the other but it is a fantastic introduction and will give you are better understanding of the characters. Fans of L. Steele will not want to miss this one and for those who are only just learning of the author, read this book and you will see how great she is and what a treat this book is.
