Emotional!!! Must have tissues!

My review of:

Sweet Salvation  (Love and Legacy Book 5)

Author:  Bella Matthews

Firstly I must thank Bella Matthews for my ARC via VPR. I may not have Spanish eyes but I do have the teardrops falling. This five star excellent book choked me up more times than I can remember. I think about one particular part and tears fall again. This is probably one of the most emotional books I have read in a long time. Bella sure knows how to pull at those heartstrings with her wonderful writing. The main couple were an interesting match and I loved their conversations and banter all through the book. Of course Magnolia and Posey stole the show. Very cute. There is so much more I would like to say but I don't like to write the story in short form or give anything away. I will say that fans of Bella and especially fans of this series should not miss this book. If you haven't read this author before, if this one makes it from the store to you be prepared to be enthralled and have a lot of time because you won't want to put this one. I also bet that you will go searching for others in this series and by this author.

Short and Sweet!

My review of:

Stuck on the Beach With You

Author:  Ellie Hartwood

Firstly I must thank the author for my ARC of this 4 star for me book. This was a cute and quick read. I love the ages of the main couple and the way they met, fell in love and finally got together. Percy was the star. For a short book this had a lot of content with some interesting characters and Tidewater Bay sounds delightful. Everything about this was adorable and it had a ton of content for such a short book. Ellie's writing was fabulous as always and the conversations were so very real. I definitely think Ellie's fans will love this and those who have not read this author before will find this a great introduction to her writing.

Sizzles from the very first word to the very last!

My review of:

Forged in the Fire (Crimson Crows # 1)

Author:  A. L. Jackson

This book was 5 stars all the way and I should like to thank the author for my ARC of this great book. I remember reading Cash and Daisy's sorry and thinking that the Crimson Crows was being to be a great series. This book, number one in the series was more than I expected. A.L. Jackson weaves a web in her romance suspense books that keep the reader guessing from beginning to end. She always manages to write the chemistry between the main characters so well that the heat between them sizzles off the page. I love bad boys with great hearts and the women who stand up to them and they become a couple. Silas and Brinley were that couple. So much I could say about this story but I want to give nothing away. I loved Kai. Who doesn't love a smart cute child? Kai was that and more and grabbed the heartstrings of the reader. Each and every character in this book was written so well that it was an introduction as to what would come as the series moves along. This book kept me on the edge of my seat and while it was a long book it was full of action from beginning to end that it did not seem long at all. Fans of A.L. Jackson are probably swooning and like me cannot wait to read the next one. Those not familiar with this author will find this a great introduction to her brilliant writing and I cannot recommend this book enough.

Hot hockey player and cute librarian. Opposites do attract!

My review of:

By the Dawn's Early Light

Author: Tia Marlee

Oh my be still my heart!! Tia Marlee, you wonderful person and writer. This was five of the easiest stars to give a book. Bryce is officially my new book crush. This man...so much I could say about him but I don't want to spoil this for others. He is everything a woman could want and it is all in a beautiful package. Not interested in hockey? No problem. One look at Bryce and the world would be addicted to the sport. He certain changed Hadley and her family. Thank you so much Tia for making the WAGS in this book kind, friendly, funny and a job to read about. How welcoming they are to both Hadley and Paige. I don't know if you have a follow up to this planned but I would love to know what happens to Paige and Cole. Everything about this book was fabulous. Tia's writing as always was brilliant. No unnecessary dialogue or narrative and the conversations were wonderful to read. The banter between the women and also between the players was cleverly written. This series is going to be amazing and I look forward to the others but because of Bryce this one will stand out in my mind. People if you a fan of Tia go and get this book, you will love it. If you are new and have not read Tia before, once you read this one you will be hooked.

Take a Trip to Paradise With Archer Bradley!

My review of:

Left Field (The Bradley Legacy Book 5.)

Author:  Lisa Suzanne

Firstly I wish to thank the author for my ARC of this amazing 5 star book. I know i am going to sound a little like a song that you listen to over and over, but each time I read a book in this series I say it is the best so far. This one is no different. I knew from reading about the Bradley family that Archer's story might be the most emotional one to tackle and I wasn't wrong. Archer, poor Archer. A wonderful male protagonist with such deep feelings buried inside him. He chose baseball and not football which made him stand out from his brothers and maybe not be so much in the clique. Millie the female protagonist has such a wise head on her shoulders but keeps making little mistakes. Fortunately she sees the wrongs and wants to right them. I actually cried during parts of the books as it was so emotional it got to me and reminded me of things in my life. I want to say that I loved the writing, the conversations, the lighter chuckle at moments and the heart wrenching moments. I love Lisa's writing and I read each of her books not wanting to ever get to the end on the one hand but wanting to on the other so I can see how it all concludes. I don't think we are finished with the Bradleys. I should hate to say goodbye without reading more about Liam and the two sisters. I hope y'all who are fans of this family and these books feel similarly to the way I do and for those new to this author but think the cover is cute, which it is, you won't be disappointed and you will want to read more by this amazing author. I am so excited to read whatever Lisa writes next and cannot wait.

Promises are Forever in Rogue River.

My review of:

Promise (Rogue River book #1)

Author:  L. B. Dunbar

Firstly, I must thank the author for my ARC of this book. This 5 star read was captivating from the first to last word and drew my attention in immediately. While I guessed at some of the little twists throughout the story, the book was so well written and I was so into it that it didn't make a little bit of difference that I had caught the twists. I could totally relate to the main couple in that they both had times where they thought that they were not good enough and I think that about myself quite often too. This may have inspired me a little to look at myself differently. The cast of characters surrounding the main couple were all absolutely wonderful in their own ways and each could have a book written about them. Rogue River sounds like another one of those small home towns and maybe I would like to live somewhere like that some day. This book was highly emotional for me and while I know it may not be for everybody I absolutely loved everything about it and hope to see other books written about the side characters, each of whom deserve their own story. I would recommend this book but I know others will differ. I suggest y'all read it for yourselves and then you can make your own mind up. For me, I look forward to seeing what this author has in store for us next.

This book was as tasty as the food and as fast as the games!

My review of:

Through the Perilous Fight (Stars and Stripes and Hockey Nights #2)

Author: Elana Johnson.

Firstly, I must say thank you for my ARC of this book. This was the second book in this special series written for the 250th anniversary of the United States of America. This story was lovely. It had a few chuckle at moments but was basically a beautifully written sports romance totally capturing the feelings of a 250th celebration. I love foodies and I love sports romance. This was the best of both worlds with a chef and a hockey player. I live outside of DC in Maryland and have been to DC many times including once on a 4th of July and stayed for the fireworks. This was great. I visited the fish market, the mall and sat on the grass watching the fireworks and this book recaptured all those memories for me. The main couple were lovely and I am so glad we got a reference or two to the first book of the series. This was my first time reading Elana Johnson but I know it will not be my last. Her narrative is so well written as are her conversations and I definitely recommend this book.

The Main Couple Sizzles In and Out of the Kitchen

My Review of:

The Unwilling Bride (The Hamiltons #1)

Author:  L. Steele

Firstly I should like to thank the author for my ARC of this book. This was a fantastic 5 star read from beginning to end. We had met James and Harper in the pre series novella and that book was so good and resonated with me so much I could hardly wait to receive this one. I was not disappointed. Wow! Wow! Wow! Hot in the kitchen and out of the kitchen. Harper and James' chemistry sizzled off the page. It was that intense through the amazing writing that I almost believed these two were real. Everything about this book was great. The writing outstanding. The conversations beautifully written to make me feel sometimes like I was intruding. The family, the friends, the staff in the restaurant, the suspense, the love - this book really had it all. I love books with extra smart teenagers and we had one that was outstanding and I hope we see in more books in this series. There were many references made to the novella that came before, so my suggestion would be to read that prior to reading this book. This book can be read without having read the other but it is a fantastic introduction and will give you are better understanding of the characters. Fans of L. Steele will not want to miss this one and for those who are only just learning of the author, read this book and you will see how great she is and what a treat this book is.
