Twists and Turns in this Amish Romance Thriller

My review of  Unsolved Amish Abduction by Mary Alford

Seems like all my reviews are 5 stars but that is likely because all the books I am reading are amazing and this one was no different. Thank you to the author for my ARC of this book and yes it is a 5 star rating from me. The way this story evolved with all the twists and turns was pretty incredible to read. I truly loved the main characters, all of them and of course Tracker was the star. Having said that this was a really cleverly written book. The narrative was excellent and was to the point. The conversations were beautifully put together and the reader could feel the emotion through the words. I love Amish Fiction and this was a very different read to me. There was as much romance as in some Amish romance books but with a huge story that kept the reader guessing and made this a book that was tough to put down. This is my first book from this author and I am so impressed that I know I will have to read more of her books. If you love Amish fiction whether it is romance or mystery or both then don't skip by this one that has it all.

A Wedding that would be awesome to attend!!

My review of  Wedding Manner by C.G. Macington

Firstly I must say thank you for my ARC of this book. This was another 5 star read that I devoured from the very first word to the very last and then went back over to read parts again. C.G. Macington is now officially my favorite M/M author whose books I absolutely cannot wait for. This again was a hysterical, unhinged fantastic journey from beginning to end. In this book I continued to adore Max and Jax'x coupling and also Preston and Luke's. What I never saw coming were the other couples that we would learn about by the end of the book. This was such a humorous read that I found myself laughing out loud to the point of tears. These men are absolutely beautiful inside and out and I only wish I could find myself a doctor remotely like even one of these. I remember a medical drama where the male charge nurse of the ER was named mama and was loved and feared. Mama Ortiz reminds me of a female version of him and I absolutely adore her. So much more about this book that I could say but I don't want to give anything away. I will say there were a few twists and turns that I didn't see coming and each one had me shouting hurrah! I believe that fans of this author will love this book and like me, will be sad that it is the last of this little series. However, knowing this amazing author he has something else that he is getting ready for us to binge on. If you are a fan of M/M romances then this is a must read. C. G. Macington writes them like no other. Please enjoy.

A Hockey fake dating romance but with so much more!

My review of  Deking by Cala Riley

My thanks firstly to Cala Riley for my ARC of this book via BookFunnel. This 5 star book was a delight to read from the first word to the very last word. Besides being a college hockey romance, there were many other subjects that were touched and obviously researched well. We had dementia and being a caregiver for a family member suffering from the disease. We had loss of family members. One of the toughest parts of the book to read but also most meaningful was the loss of Jerry. We saw how ugly jealousy and bullying can be. I loved how the story evolved and I truly enjoyed the main couple Wyatt and Lyla. Their journey from the start of the book to the very end was beautiful to read and I was happy to go on it with them. Cala Riley made me believe that I was part of the "family" with the way the scenes were described and the conversations and sometimes banter were so well written I felt myself wanting to have my say. LOL. So many chuckle at moments, wtg moments and some where I felt myself grabbing for a tissue to wipe my tears. There was nothing in my mind, to dislike about this book and even though it was book 5 of the series I truly believe that it could be read as a stand alone and would be perfectly understandable if the other 4 books had not previously been read. Cala Riley fans will know what I am saying when I say this is a must not miss read and for those not familiar with the author, I truly believe that once you read this book you will go back for more. I am excited to see where this author takes us next and who is featured as our main couple.

A Dream Christmas in Dream Harbor!

My review of The Christmas Tree Farm by Laurie Gilmore

It's funny how we can all read the same books and see them differently. I gave this book 4 stars. While I enjoyed it, I did not like it as much as the first two books of the series. I found it a little bit repetitive compared to the other two. I still love Dream Harbor and loved the return of the characters we got to know in the first two books and the addition of new characters. I did like the main couple and loved the dogs. There were a lot of laugh out loud moments and even a few very touching ones. I enjoyed how the story evolved and really liked everything about the book except that it took me a couple of chapters to get into it compared to the previous two which is the reason I didn't like it quite as much. I am very excited to read the next book in the series and will definitely recommend this book and this series to others. If you haven't read any of the books yet, they can all be read as stand alone books but I have a thing about reading a series is in order. Take a read of these books and I bet you will, like those of us who have read the books, look forward to your next visit to Dream Harbor.

Snap Decisions are often the right Decisions!!!!

My review of Snap Decision by Lisa Suzanne

Firstly I must say thank you for my ARC of this 5 star read and next in the Bradley Legacy series. As I read each book I remember that past few and then I take a look at the main male character and think I adored Madden and Dex, how is it possible to love Ford even more. I absolutely love the Bradley brothers each and every one of them. They always manage to get a woman who is perfect for them and have interesting lives beyond football and baseball. This book seemed a little different to me. I liked Tate and Ford together and I loved how their story evolved. This book had some sad moments, moments that had nothing to do with the romance and lots of chuckle out loud moments. Lisa Suzanne painted a very picture with her words of the scenes she was writing about and I honestly could see myself in each location. Her conversations and banter are always beautifully written and make me feel that I am part of the conversation. I truly loved this book and and cannot wait for the next book of the series as I am sure all who have read this are also waiting eagerly. If you have not read Lisa Suzanne before, these books can be read as a stand alone, but I am willing to bet that if you read this one you will go back and read the others. Thank you again Lisa Suzanne for a truly lovely story which was a delight to read from the first to the last word.

Sisters, Quilting, Bookshop/Cafe and a hunky crime solving detective make this a fabulous read!

My review of:  Murder Unshelved by Vannetta Chapman

I have not yet read a book by Vannetta Chapman that wasn't 5 stars. Firstly, I should like to say thank you for my ARC of this 5 star book. I absolutely love cozy mysteries. I enjoy quilting cozy mysteries and bookshop/cafe cozy mysteries. This adorable book, first of a new series, has given me two and promises to give me the third. I really liked how the story evolved and Vannetta's writing was addictive to read as always. I truly loved the main characters and while sisters they are like chalk and cheese but amazing get on well together. Their employees are all characters in their own ways...the Amish girl, the nerd student and the older retired lady. Now let's also talk about the hunky police detective who manages to have a romance with the younger of the two sisters while solving the crime. I really liked his personality. Yes, Vannetta writes her characters with distinctive personalities. I loved every minute of this book from the first word read until the very last and I am super excited to read the next in this series. I was introduced to Vannetta through her Amish fiction books so it was a lovely touch that we had an Amish girl as an employee leading to a small Amish community with clip clopping horses pulling buggies. Fans of Vannetta will love this book and for those of you who she might be new to, please read this one and I am betting you will going back and read many of her other books.

Short, Sweet and a real Treat

My review of His to Hold by Tia Marlee

I should firstly like to thank Tia Marlee for my ARC of this book. Each book that I read by this author, I like her writing more and more. This was yet another 5 star read where scenes were painted with words in such pretty pictures I could see, feel and almost smell the country air. The characters were absolutely wonderful and I truly like how the main couple's relationship developed as the story moved along and has me once again believe in love at first sight. I am very glad that the main female character's mother is unlike anybody I find myself related to. Not the best person to give advice. Now I am looking forward to the next book in this series and learning what happens to yet another of the Miller boys. Definitely a must read for fans of Tia and a great little book to start with if you have never read this author before.

A SPECIAL EDITION BOX SET TO TREASURE

My 5 star review of Palmer City Voltage Special Edition Box Set by Kerry Evelyn

Firstly, I must thank Kerry Evelyn for my ARC of the special edition box set. I was debating how to review these books. Should I mention each one by one? Should I review the whole set at the end? I have decided that to do every single book would make a review that would be much longer than most folks would like to read.

Each of the 7 books in the box set features a player from the Palmer City Voltage hockey team and their clean romances with the women in their life. It was great to go from book 1 to book 7 and learn about the players, their families, likes, dislikes, quirks, superstitions and much much more. Even if you are not a ice hockey fan you will appreciate these absolutely wonderful stories. You don't have to know anything about the game to read the books. This is a perfect time to read these books. They are all set in Palmer City, Colorado and do feature players from other countries. With the Winter Olympics having ended this book set will help keep hockey alive in hearts.

Kerry is a superb author. Her stories are brilliantly written and made even more perfect by her writing of the banter and conversations between all the characters. She paints beautiful pictures with her words that is likely to increase the numbers of folks wanting to visit Colorado. I have been there several times and have to say that the scenes she describes are really accurate.

All the books in the set are also available individually and I would suggest reading them in sequence. If you are already a Kerry fan I am sure you will want to make this Special Edition Box Set yours. If you are new to Kerry, try one and I bet before long you will be addicted.

I am excited to see what Kerry has for us in the future but am glad to know that I have her books and they can all be read over and over again.
